fr evening: if you come to linz friday evening, we would like to take you to kapu summerparty.
sa, 9.30: we meet in front of the musictheater for our groupride to the court.
sa,10.00: arrival at the court. some burocracy like bikecheck, refing, specific timetable,... start of the tournament,
we play till 21.30.
In the afternoon we will provide you with a vegan curry or something similar. our timetable is pretty loose, so we hope to be able to put one or two games of pickup in between and/or at the end.
sa, 21.30: groupride back into town. afterworkout-beer or whatever in- and outside of stadtwerkstatt directly across from ars electronica center.
su, 9.30: groupride to the court.
su, 10.00: we start with second rounds, followed by playing the brackets choosing a winnerteam for this tournament. during the afternoon we will provide you with something to eat, right now we are thinking about noodles. notice, the cantina at the court will only be opend until 14.00 that day.
su, 17.00: final, afterwards victory ceremony for winning team and overall best player, celebrations, honorable mentions, grouppicture
su, 18.00: we have the court at least till 20:00, so for those who still dont want to go home there will be some chance for pickups.
what to bring:
asides your poloequipment:
we organized a tabletennistable, so bring your paddle. We have balls.
if you have boccia/bowls-balls you can bring them as well, there is a sandpit (also for building sandcastles).
please contact your host for:
parking (all hosts except max have parking for free nearby, if you come with your car)
bringing sheets
time of arrival
to produce less waste please ask your host for a bowl and fork for curry/noodles or bring your own.
we will inform you soon who will be hosting you.

Die Leit sollten ueber FB mit ihren Hosts connected sein, auch die PAF , bzw ueber 3te.
Fuer die, die erst am Sa kommen ists eh nicht stressig, die koennen es dann beim Court in Erfahrung bringen.
Ansonsten einfach hier nachfragen.

This is what we came up with for the playing schedule. At the bottom is a link to the spreadsheet.
We want to take the best 12 players out of the random-equation, so that we get even teams, somehow, at least for the first day.
There will be a random allocation but based on the ‘rating’ of either A or B.
DAY 1:
There will be 3 groups, each one composed of 4 A-Players and 8 B-Players.
The players will be randomly assigned to their slots.
6 Games for everybody.
There will be AAB-AAB, ABB-ABB and BBB-BBB games. 12 min per game.
Nobody will play with the same teammate twice.
DAY 2:
3 random rounds based on the scores of day one.
After each round the players are going to be sorted and ranked again, and new teams formed.
Either we make the Ranking of all Players based on day one, or, as it is now, A-Players play only against A-Players and B-Players only against B-Players, we prefer the second one, again for more interesting games.
After these 3 rounds there will be another sepoeration into 12A, 12B and 12C players.
Meaning the best player of A forms a team with the best players of B and C: A01B01C01.
A02B02C02, etc…
With those new formed teams there will be a single elimination bracket.
At the end we will have a winner team for the bracket and the winner player for the shuffle based on the overall ranking.
Everyone has the chance to win the bracket and/or the overall ranking.
We are open for discussion. If you feel, this is absolutely a stupid idea, let us know. But we think, that we will get nicer games, if it’s not totally random, meaning more interesting for everybody
Looking forward to see you all, and there is still one slot available.

Oder was hat es mit Gruppe A um 11 und Gruppe B um 14 Uhr auf sich?

gruppe 1 und gruppe 2 starten um 11, vielleicht auch bissl frueher
dann spielen G2 und G3 und dann G1 und G3
i werd morgen mittag mal einen spielplan vom ersten tag mit zugeteilten namen posten.
wir werden schon so gegen 10 dort sein. und wenn wir dann starten koennen, starten wir.
Sind noch nicht ganz so advanced im turnier-machen
dann spielen G2 und G3 und dann G1 und G3
i werd morgen mittag mal einen spielplan vom ersten tag mit zugeteilten namen posten.
